Victor Wanyama 'has not travelled to meet Kenya squad amid transfer rumours'

Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama has reportedly not travelled to meet up with the Kenya squad, fuelling speculation that he could be completing a transfer before tomorrow's deadline.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, but Saints manager Ronald Koeman has been adamant that the midfielder is not for sale.

The Dutchman did not include Wanyama in the squad that sealed a 3-0 victory over Norwich City on Sunday because he was not deemed 'mentally fit' to play.

According to Sky Sports News, Wanyama has not joined up with the Kenya squad as expected, and there is no official reason behind the delay.

The midfielder joined Southampton from Celtic in 2013.
