Report: Jonathan Walters hands Stoke City transfer request

Stoke City forward Jonathan Walters has handed in a transfer request, according to reports.

The Potters reportedly rejected two bids from Norwich City for the 31-year-old in the last few weeks, with the latest offer said to be worth £2m.

Sky Sports News claims that Walters has been in talks for several months with Stoke, but the discussions have broken down over the length of contract on offer.

The Republic of Ireland international has a year left on his current deal at the Britannia Stadium.
