Javier Hernandez joins Bayer Leverkusen on three-year deal

Javier Hernandez makes Leverkusen switch

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has completed a permanent move to Bayer Leverkusen on a three-year deal.

The Mexican forward spent last season on loan at Real Madrid and has since failed to impress United boss Louis van Gaal in the early stages of the current Premier League campaign.

United have taken to Twitter to announce the departure of the frontman, who is thought to have been sold for a fee in the region of £7.3m:

Hernandez scored 59 goals in 157 games for United having joined the club in 2010.
