Leicester vs Stevenage - prediction, team news, lineups

Leicester City will be looking to pick up an important victory when they welcome Stevenage to King Power Stadium on Saturday.

The hosts currently sit 11th in the League One table, while the visitors are 13th.

Match preview

Leicester City will be looking to build on last weekend's impressive victory over Wigan Athletic when they take on Stevenage.

The Foxes recorded a convincing 3-0 win over the Latics, with Emil Riis scoring twice before Bobby De Cordova-Reid converted a late penalty.

That result provided a welcome response to their defeat against Luton Town and should give Russell Martin's side renewed confidence as they look to climb up the League One table.

Leicester are beginning to show some consistency after a lacklustre start to the new season, having won three of their last four league games.

Stevenage, meanwhile, suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to MK Dons last weekend and will be looking to get back to winning ways.

Alex Revell's side have struggled to maintain consistency in the league in recent weeks, following up a victory with a defeat in their last six matches.

Revell was left "bitterly disappointed" after the defeat to MK Dons, having failed to build on an impressive 3-0 win over Plymouth Argyle just four days earlier.

However, it is worth noting that Stevenage beat Leicester 2-1 in the EFL Trophy meeting earlier this month which will give them confidence heading into Saturday's meeting.

Team News

Leicester are likely to continue with the same side that beat Wigan last weekend, with Riis set to lead the line once more.

Will Smallbone and Louis Page are expected to continue their midfield partnership.

Stevenage may be forced to make at least two changes after Luther James-Wildin and Dan Kemp picked up knocks against MK Dons, with Kaelan Casey and Chem Campbell likely to replace them.

Josh Magennis is expected to continue up front, with support from Michael Mellon in the No.10 role.

Leicester City possible starting lineup:

McCarthy; O'Hora, Souttar, Okoli; Alves, Smallbone, Page, Thomas; Chaplin, Doyle; Riis

Stevenage possible starting lineup:

Setford; Casey, Vancooten, Piergianni, Earley; Campbell, Thompson, Phillips, Broggio; Mellon; Magennis

We say: Leicester City 2-0 Stevenage

Leicester are in better form than Stevenage and have home advantage, which is why we are backing them to pick up all three points.
