Tottenham are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea winger Mykhaylo Mudryk as a 'Plan B' should their protracted pursuit of Liverpool's Cody Gakpo fail to materialise.

Gakpo is understood to have already agreed personal terms over a switch to north London, though it is now looking increasingly likely that he will stay put at Anfield.

Roberto De Zerbi previously worked with Mudryk at Shakhtar Donetsk and is said to view the Ukrainian, who has not featured competitively since November 2024, as a natural fit if a temporary loan deal can be arranged with Chelsea for their £88.5m signing.

Elsewhere, Tottenham midfielder Pape Sarr is understood to have agreed personal terms with Galatasaray after reacting angrily to being told his services were no longer required.

The Turkish club have reportedly already had two bids rejected, the most recent worth £17.1m, with Spurs said to be holding out for a package worth £21.4m before sanctioning his exit.

Sarr's fall down the pecking order follows the arrivals of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, though De Zerbi has publicly stopped short of confirming the midfielder will definitely leave.

Sarr has made 141 appearances for Spurs since joining from Metz in 2021, contributing 11 goals and 11 assists, and the north London club stand to make a healthy profit on the £14.5m they paid for him.

Everton, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Al-Ahli have also been credited with interest in the Senegal international, though Galatasaray are understood to remain firm favourites to complete a deal before deadline day.

On the incoming front, Tottenham are believed to have already agreed a mammoth package to sign Manchester City duo Savinho and Omar Marmoush, a move that would significantly bolster De Zerbi's attacking options.

That result has raised early questions about squad fitness and depth, with De Zerbi conceding that several players did not appear in ideal physical condition for the trip to Gtech Community Stadium.

With Gakpo, Mudryk, Savinho and Marmoush all in play, Tottenham's attacking rebuild could yet be one of the most significant of any Premier League club before the window closes on September 1.
