Tim Sherwood unhappy with speculation

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood is unhappy with potential suitors for his job expressing their interest in the role while he is still the club's manager.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood has admitted that he is unhappy with people expressing their interest in becoming the club's manager while he remains in charge.

Louis van Gaal and Glenn Hoddle are among the names to have put themselves forward to replace the 45-year-old at the end of the season, when it is likely Sherwood will leave White Hart Lane.

He told reporters: "Every press conference I do is about who is coming, whether it be about Van Gaal or Hoddle or whoever.

"Some of these managers are actually touting themselves for my job and I don't think that's right. That doesn't sit well with me, so if someone asks me about another club I'll say, 'They already have a manager.' And until they haven't got a manager I haven't got a job.

"It's always about me keeping the seat warm for someone else. I am [doing that], but the seat is getting quite hot."

Tottenham kept up their push for a place in the Europa League next season with a 1-0 win over Stoke City on Saturday.
