Bayern Munich are reportedly keen to extend Michael Olise's contract beyond 2029 amid interest from heavyweight clubs, including Liverpool.
The 23-year-old attacker moved to Bayern from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024 and enjoyed a phenomenal debut campaign, scoring 25 goals and providing 29 assists in 64 appearances in all competitions.
The French forward has started the 2025-26 campaign on a strong note, scoring four goals and providing four assists already across all competitions, while delivering some virtuoso performances.
His impressive form has not gone unnoticed, with Liverpool and Real Madrid being reportedly linked with a move in recent weeks.
Bayern ready to offer Olise a new contract?
It has been suggested that the Reds will have to pay around £100m to sign the dazzling left-footed winger, and that price can go up if Olise continues to produce more eye-catching performances.
However, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed that Olise does not have an exit clause in his contract, meaning the German club can set any asking price for the player they believe can become the best in the world.
According to Sky Deutschland, the Bavarian giants are planning to offer him a new contract to extend his stay, although the club have been taking strong cost-cutting measures to reduce the wage bill.
The German champions have other pressing issues to solve at the moment, with the club yet to reach an agreement with Dayot Upamecano over a new deal, while the futures of Serge Gnabry and Manuel Neuer are also hanging in the balance.
Olise would be a top signing for Liverpool
Recent reports have suggested that the technically gifted winger could definitely be an option for the Reds next summer, as they could be looking to bolster their attacking department further.
Liverpool signed Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, and Florian Wirtz in the summer window to bolster their forward department, but they need plans to replace Mohamed Salah at some point in the future.
Olise appears to be one of the perfect candidates to replace the Reds legend, but it will not be easy to prise him away from Allianz Arena, especially if he signs a new contract.
The Premier League champions reportedly also have other targets in mind, with AFC Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo emerging as a potential option in recent weeks.
