Saturday's Bundesliga predictions including Mainz vs. Bayern Munich

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Mainz vs. Bayern Munich.

Dortmund vs. VfL Bochum (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Borussia Dortmund welcome VfL Bochum to Signal Iduna Park in the Bundesliga on Saturday hoping to bounce back from the disappointment of last weekend's Der Klassiker defeat.

The loss at the Allianz Arena ended Dortmund's pursuit of Bayern Munich's title, whilst the visitors slipped to another defeat to leave their survival unconfirmed for another week.

We say: Borussia Dortmund 3-1 VfL Bochum

The outcome of this encounter significantly depends on the character of Dortmund to come out and bounce back from the disappointment of missing out on the title as a result of last weekend's defeat.

Should they return to a decent performance level, they should have no problem seeing off a struggling Bochum side, although they are likely to have opportunities to find the back of the net on the counter attack against an under-performing BVB back line.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Stuttgart vs. Wolfsburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Stuttgart continue their quest for Bundesliga survival when they welcome Wolfsburg to the Mercedes Benz Arena on Saturday.

The hosts remain in huge danger of the drop following a four-game winless streak, whilst the visitors all but confirmed their survival following a thumping win last weekend.

We say: Stuttgart 2-1 Wolfsburg

Stuttgart have earned some dramatic home wins in recent weeks to keep their survival hopes alive, and with so much riding on this game, we can see them rising to the occasion to earn a vital victory here.

The visitors may well have impressed last time out, but inconsistencies in their season, as well as their poor run of form on the road, mean it remains difficult to see them putting together back-to-back wins.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Mainz 05 vs. Bayern (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Bayern Munich return to action for the first since being crowned Bundesliga champions for a 10th successive season when they travel to Mainz 05 on Saturday.

The visitors wrapped up the title with victory in Der Klassiker last weekend, whilst the hosts were on the wrong end of a thumping as they continue to finish the season poorly.

We say: Mainz 05 1-3 Bayern Munich

It is difficult to imagine Bayern taking their foot off the gas here despite having nothing left to play for, so we are predicting an away victory.

The hosts continue to finish the season poorly so they are unlikely to be able to contain the firepower of their visitors, although the intense atmosphere and strong record at the Opel Arena mean they should cause some nervy moments for the champions.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Augsburg vs. FC Koln (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Koln's Sebastian Andersson celebrates scoring their first goal with teammates on March 20, 2022© Reuters

Koln will be looking to claim their fourth successive Bundesliga victory when they travel to the WWK Arena to face Augsburg on Saturday afternoon.

Only league leaders Bayern Munich have won more top-flight games since the beginning of March than both Augsburg and Koln, who have won four matches each.

We say: Augsburg 1-2 FC Koln

Spirits are high among the two camps heading into Saturday's fixture and both teams will be confident of securing maximum points.

Although Augsburg may have the psychological advantage with their impressive head-to-head record against Koln, we can see the visitors claiming a slender victory to boost their hopes of a top-six finish.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Arminia Bielefeld vs. Hertha Berlin (Saturday, 2.30pm)

A pivotal relegation battle at the bottom of the Bundesliga table will take place at Bielefelder Alm as Arminia Bielefeld play host to Hertha Berlin.

Arminia currently sit 17th in the standings, two points adrift of the relegation playoff position and six points behind Hertha in 15th place with just three league games remaining.

We say: Arminia Bielefeld 1-2 Hertha Berlin

Time is running out for Arminia and they head into Saturday's six-pointer under immense pressure to secure maximum points if they wish to climb out of the bottom two.

Hertha, meanwhile, will be motivated by the prospect of confirming their Bundesliga status, and with the momentum behind them, we can see Magath's men securing all three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Hoffenheim vs. Freiburg (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Hoffenheim's Christoph Baumgartner celebrates scoring their first goal with teammates on March 12, 2022© Reuters

The final game of the Bundesliga action on Saturday sees Hoffenheim hosting Freiburg at the PreZero Arena, with the outcome potentially proving pivotal in the race for continental qualification in Germany.

Despite nicking a late equaliser last weekend, the hosts extended their dreadful winless run, whilst the visitors were on the wrong end of a late equaliser in a thrilling draw themselves to see their top-four hopes suffer a blow.

We say: Hoffenheim 1-1 Freiburg

With Freiburg tending to struggle more on their travels compared to their strength on home soil, we can see the visitors being held at their struggling hosts on Saturday.

On their days, these two sides are evenly matched and more than capable of qualifying for European football, but with the in-form side being the away team, and the hosts being in an end-of-season slump, we can see the two cancelling each other out in a tight affair.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
