Organisers defend Sochi Winter Olympics cost

Organisers have defended the cost of the Sochi Winter Olympics amid concerns that the expense could put off others in the future.

They said the infrastructure that has been built will be part of a legacy, to be used long after the Games have finished.

There are plans was to transform Sochi into a year-round resort with an international sports centre and amusement park.

Concerns have also been raised about the state of the athletes accommodation.
