Popstar Katy Perry admits to Super Bowl nerves

American popstar Katy Perry has admitted that she will feel nervous before her performance at the Super Bowl half-time show.

The 30-year-old was signed up by the NFL for the show on February 1, ahead of Rihanna and Coldplay, who were also thought to be options.

Last year, the half-time interval was watched by 111.5 million viewers, and despite performing in front of large crowds on a regular basis, Perry has admitted that she feels nervy.

"I don't get nervous about much, but I'll definitely be a little tingly inside that day," Perry told ESPN magazine.

The singer posed alongside Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt for the cover of ESPN's February issue.
