Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including Reims vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Sunday's Ligue 1 matches, including Reims vs. Paris Saint-Germain.

Bordeaux vs. Nice (Sunday, 12.00pm)

Bordeaux and Nice will both be looking to bounce back from respective defeats when the two sides lock horns at the Stade Matmut-Atlantique on Sunday lunchtime.

Bordeaux suffered their first defeat of the season to Lens in gameweek four, while Nice were put to the sword by Paris Saint-Germain by three goals to nil last weekend.

We say: Bordeaux 1-0 Nice

The goals that Bordeaux shipped against Lens were down to individual errors rather than a lacklustre team effort, and Gasset's men are expected to rectify those mistakes even in Baysse's absence. Nice have seen their squad ravaged by injuries, coronavirus and transfer speculation, so we are backing the hosts to just edge this one and end their winless run against Les Aiglons.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Dijon vs. Montpellier (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Two sides enduring contrasting starts to the new Ligue 1 season will lock horns on Sunday afternoon as Dijon welcome Montpellier HSC to the Stade Gaston-Gerard.

Montpellier have amassed nine points from a possible 12 thus far, whereas Dijon are the only side yet to get off the mark in the 2020-21 campaign.

We say: Dijon 0-3 Montpellier HSC

Given the respective form of the two sides at the start of the new campaign, we can only see one clear winner in this one. Montpellier are scoring for fun while Dijon have become early candidates for the drop, so Der Zakarian's men should pick up all three points with no trouble at all on Sunday.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Angers vs. Brest (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Angers will be looking to recover from their crushing defeat to Montpellier when they welcome Brest to the Stade Raymond Kopa for Sunday's Ligue 1 clash.

In contrast, Brest will endeavour to win their third top-flight game on the bounce following victories over Dijon and Lorient in their last two matches.

We say: Angers 1-1 Brest

With Angers and Brest currently neck-and-neck in the standings and enduring similar spells of early-season form, we are struggling to pick a winner for this one. Brest will feel confident of picking up a third successive win but Angers have a point to prove following their humbling defeat to Montpellier, so we expect this one to end all square.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Nimes vs. Lens (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Lens will be looking to keep their strong run of form in Ligue 1 going when they travel to Nimes for Sunday's Ligue 1 showdown.

In contrast, Nimes find themselves near the relegation places having registered one win, one draw and two losses thus far.

We say: Nimes 1-2 Lens

Both sides can be proud of their performances in gameweek four and will feel equally capable of walking away from this encounter with maximum points. However, Lens are making a name for themselves at this early stage and are playing like they were never away from the top flight, and while Nimes will look to keep up their strong goalscoring form at home, we still expect Haise's men to prevail.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Monaco vs. Strasbourg (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Strasbourg manager Thierry Laurey pictured in February 2020© Reuters

Monaco will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Rennes when they welcome Strasbourg to the Stade Louis-II for the fifth round of fixtures in the 2020-21 Ligue 1 campaign.

In contrast, Strasbourg finally managed to get off the mark in the top flight as they overcame fellow strugglers Dijon 1-0 last weekend.

We say: Monaco 2-0 Strasbourg

In spite of the fact that Monaco suffered a disheartening loss to Rennes last weekend, Kovac's men should have too much quality for a struggling Strasbourg side. The visitors can boast a strong recent record against their opponents, but Monaco are vastly improved from last season and we expect the hosts to record a straightforward victory on Sunday.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Lorient vs. Lyon (Sunday, 4.00pm)

Lorient and Lyon will both be looking to register their first win since the opening day of the Ligue 1 season when the two sides lock horns on Sunday afternoon.

Lorient's most recent outing ended in a 3-2 defeat to Brest, whereas Lyon were held to a goalless stalemate by Nimes last Friday.

We say: Lorient 0-2 Lyon

Lyon must find a way to break their goalscoring duck if they are to stake an early claim for a top-four finish, and they have been handed a prime opportunity to do so against a Lorient side who have shipped the joint-most goals in the league. The hosts are sure to dig deep to try and find a way of coming out on top, but we cannot see any other result than a routine victory for Les Gones.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Reims vs. PSG (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to keep their Ligue 1 momentum going when they take on out-of-form Reims at the Stade Auguste-Delaune on Sunday evening.

Thomas Tuchel's men have followed up back-to-back losses to begin the season with successive wins and take on a Reims side without a win to their name so far.

We say: Reims 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain

PSG are still without some key players and they have struggled in this fixture of late. However, Reims have started the campaign in poor form and were knocked out of the Europa League in midweek, so we are going with an away win on Sunday.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.
