Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies is urging his players to remain focused in their quest for promotion to the Premier League.

Forest have been in excellent form since Davies's arrival as manager and have taken 16 points from the six games he's been in charge of, which has launched the club into the top six in the Championship.

Davies told reporters: "The fans will get all excited and the media will tell everyone that the wheels have fallen off the bus if we drop out of the top six.

"It is all a load of nonsense. The most important thing is to be there at the end of the season, not now.

"We will do all we can over the next nine games. The players know where we are and I don't need to motivate them."

Forest travel to third-placed Hull City on Saturday.
