A record-breaking transfer window is nearing its conclusion, with Premier League clubs having forked out an unprecedented sum already during the summer.

Over £1.9bn has been spent on players - an average of almost £100m per club - and there is plenty more business expected ahead of the deadline at 11pm on Thursday.
