Fulham sign former Tottenham Hotspur striker Carlos Vinicius on three-year deal from Benfica for an undisclosed fee.

Fulham have signed former Tottenham Hotspur striker Carlos Vinicius on three-year deal from Benfica.

The 27-year-old arrives for an undisclosed fee and has put pen to paper on a contract which will keep him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2025, while the club also has the option to extend his deal by a further year on top of that.

Vinicius has been contracted to Benfica since 2019, but only spent one full season with the Portuguese giants - a campaign which saw him win the Primeira Liga golden boot.

The Brazilian has spent most of the last three seasons out on loan, including the 2020-21 campaign at Spurs, where he scored 10 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions.

Vinicius only played nine times in the Premier League, though, finding the back of the net just once in that time.

"I'm really happy to be here. I think it's a big club with good people, so I'm really, really happy," Vinicius told the club's official website.

"I'm happy to be back in the Premier League again. I'm more experienced now and I think I can help the club."

Chairman Tony Khan added: "I'm delighted to welcome Carlos Vinicius to Fulham.

"We're working hard to build a strong squad with the depth required to compete through the entirety of this Premier League season and for future seasons, and with Carlos' arrival we've added a talented and experienced goalscorer and strengthened our team; we're excited that he's joining Marco [Silva]'s squad."

Vinicius becomes Fulham's third signing of transfer deadline day, following the earlier arrivals of Layvin Kurzawa and Willian.
