Will Martinez make long-awaited return? Man United injury, suspension list vs. Brighton

Manchester United will be aiming to make it three straight wins in the Premier League when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Old Trafford in Saturday's late start.

The Red Devils entered the October international break off the back of a 2-0 success over Sunderland, before beating Liverpool 2-1 last time out, and Ruben Amorim's side currently sit ninth in the Premier League table.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man United's injury and suspension issues ahead of the game with Brighton, who are 10th in the division, one point behind their opponents this weekend.

Lisandro Martinez

Status: Out

Type of injury: Knee

Possible return date: Unknown

Martinez has been on the sidelines since suffering a serious knee injury in February, but the centre-back has made excellent recent progress in his recovery, and there had seemingly been a small chance that the Argentina international could be back in the squad for the contest with Brighton at Old Trafford.

However, his absence has now been confirmed, as the defender is yet to return to full training with his teammates.
