Fabian Delph 'talked out of Manchester City move by Micah Richards, Scott Sinclair'

Fabian Delph was talked out of a move to Manchester City by his Aston Villa teammates Micah Richards and Scott Sinclair, according to a report.

The 25-year-old was said to be on the verge of joining Manuel Pellegrini's men in an £8m deal, but opted against the move to remain at Villa Park.

The Mirror claims that Delph was convinced to turn down the move to City by Richards and Sinclair, who struggled to break into the first team at the Etihad Stadium in their years at the club.

The England international has four years left on his deal with Tim Sherwood's side.
