Glasgow launch a bid to host the 2019 European Indoor Athletics Championships.

Glasgow have launched a bid to host the 2019 European Indoor Athletics Championships.

The Scottish city recently staged the Commonwealth Games and Britain is one of six candidates interested in hosting the tournament.

According to insidethegames.biz, the Emirates Arena, which staged badminton and track cycling during the Commonwealths, has been put forward to host the Championships.

Belarus, Bulgaria, The Netherlands, Poland and Portugal are also keen to host the tournament.
