American figure skater Ashley Wagner has talked about her rise to internet stardom after photos of her reaction to last week's ice skating competition scores at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi went viral.
Her disappointed expression has produced a number of spoof images after being turned into a meme online.
She told US Weekly: "I'm a strong-headed person, and you can always tell how I'm feeling in that moment.
"I feel like I'm in a bit of a bubble here. So I haven't really seen any of it.
"But a couple of my friends have said I've been made into a meme, which is probably the coolest thing that's ever happened to me."
The 22-year-old chose to give two thumbs up to television cameras after scoring 65.21 in the short programme on Thursday.
