Six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt has rubbished claims that Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin could beat him in a race.
Bolt is the world-record holder in the 100m sprint, but a report by the BBC last year claimed that Bellerin is quicker than the Jamaican over 40 metres.
It is believed that the Spaniard clocked the distance in 4.41 seconds, which is quicker than Bolt did when he set the world record in 2009.
In response to the claims, Bolt told Eurosport: "These stories make me laugh. Footballers are very fast over the first 10-20 metres - that is what they train for. I train to be fast over 100m or 200m."
Last year, Bolt won three gold medals at the World Championships in Beijing.
