Wolves lining up £10m Ben Davies bid?

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly prepared to spend £10m on Preston North End centre-back Ben Davies.

While the Premier League outfit were already planning to bring in a new defender in January, their search has intensified as a result of Willy Boly sustaining a broken ankle.

Davies had already been on the radar of Nuno Espirito Santo, and The Express claims that Wolves are ready to make an official approach in January.

The 24-year-old has established himself as one of the most highly-regarded players outside of the top flight having helped Preston into promotion contention.

The Championship outfit will be keen to keep Davies at Deepdale, although the long-serving player has less than two years remaining on his contract.
