Andre Wisdom poised for Wigan Athletic loan move?

Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom is reportedly close to joining Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of the season after Brendan Rodgers gave the move the go ahead.

Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom is poised to join Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of the season, according to a report.

Manager Brendan Rodgers wants the England Under-21 international to gain experience in the Championship and in the Europa League with the Latics.

Wigan were hopeful of securing a deal for Wisdom before the start of the season but Rodgers refused to give the go ahead until he signed Aly Cissokho from Valencia, reports The Mirror.

The 20-year-old has made 20 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions since making his debut last season.
