Wigan Athletic striker Franco di Santo outlines his ambition to remain at the club beyond the end of the season, when his contract expires.

Wigan Athletic striker Franco di Santo has outlined his ambition to stay at the club beyond the summer when his contract ends.

The Argentine has been an integral part of Roberto Martinez's squad for the past three seasons and has helped the Latics reach the last four of the FA Cup in this campaign.

Di Santo told TyC Sports: "We're doing fine at Wigan. We are in the semis of the FA Cup. My contract is up in June and I haven't been playing a lot lately because there are too many things going on.

"It'd be key for me to keep playing. I'd love to stay in the Premier League. We'll see about that."

Di Santo has made 28 appearances for Wigan this season, scoring five goals.
