Alessandro Diamanti 'on way out of Watford to join Atalanta BC on loan'

Watford midfielder Alessandro Diamanti is reportedly close to joining Italian outfit Atalanta BC on a loan deal.

The 32-year-old moved to Vicarage Road in August on a season-long loan from Guangzhou Evergrande, but has managed just 24 minutes on the pitch for the first team.

According to The Mirror, Atalanta, who are currently 12th in the Serie A table, are willing to take Diamanti on loan until the end of the season.

The midfielder has played for 11 clubs so far in his career, one being West Ham United, where he spent a season.
