Staying with the London sides, and AC Milan striker Alessandro Matri has reportedly agreed to join West Ham United on loan, as Slaven Bilic looks to boost his attack while Enner Valencia and Andy Carroll recover from injury. Read more here.

Over in La Liga, reports suggest that Real Betis are hoping to complete the loan signing for former Atletico Madrid forward Adrian Lopez from Porto. Find the full story here.

However, the Dutchman did manage to add to his squad today by bringing in Sweden international Ola Toivonen on loan.

It's been a busy day for Ipswich Town, who have now announced that they are on the verge of signing Australian international Tommy Oar on a free transfer from FC Utrecht. Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta has been heavily linked with a move back to Atletico Madrid after failing to agree a contract extension with the Ligue 1 side. However, the French champions have now announced that he has agreed a one-year extension.

It looks like the Kevin de Bruyne transfer saga is drawing to its inevitable conclusion as Wolfsburg director Klaus Allofs has revealed that the contract with Manchester City will be signed in the next 24 hours.

Joleon Lescott has reportedly asked to leave West Bromwich Albion, and it looks like he could be heading to one of their neighbours as Aston Villa are believed to be close to agreeing a two-year contract with the 33-year-old
