Swansea 'agree record fee for Baston'

Swansea City have reportedly agreed a club-record fee with Atletico Madrid to sign striker Borja Baston.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Eibar, where he scored 18 league goals to help his side to a 14th-place finish.

Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin confirmed last week that the club were "close" to completing a deal for the Spaniard, with the fee reported to be around £15m.

Multiple reports have now claimed that the two clubs have agreed a fee after Andre Ayew left the Swans to join West Ham United for £20.5m.

Alberto Paloschi, Eder and Bafetimbi Gomis have also left the Liberty Stadium this summer, leaving Guidolin short of attacking options beyond new signing Fernando Llorente.

The club's previous record signing saw Wilfried Bony arrive from Vitesse in 2013.
