Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of defender Jan Vertonghen from Ajax.
The 25-year-old has been a target for the North London club for some time and the Premier League outfit eventually agreed a deal with Ajax for the Belgium international on Sunday.
Spurs confirmed on their official website that Vertonghen has completed a medical and is officially a Tottenham player following weeks of negotiations with his former Dutch club.
Vertonghen spent six years with Ajax, where he scored 28 goals.
