Fenerbahce to beat Tottenham Hotspur in Lassana Diarra chase

Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra could be on the verge of a move to Fenerbahce, according to reports in Spain.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp is a well-known admirer of the 27-year-old, having worked with him at Portsmouth.

Spurs had tried to sign Diarra in August and were reportedly poised to move for him again at the end of the season.

However, according to Spanish newspaper AS, the Istanbul club are willing to increase his current Bernabeu wages and are favourites to sign the Frenchman.

Diarra has been capped 28 times by France.
