Tottenham confirm talks with Real Madrid’s Lassana Diarra

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that the club are negotiating with Real Madrid over the potential capture of Lassana Diarra.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Spanish giants in 2009, has already played under Redknapp at Portsmouth.

"As for Diarra, I like him," Sky Sports News quotes Redknapp as saying. "It's a possibility. [The chairman's] been trying for us. He's been trying to do something there."

Meanwhile, the London club have confirmed that they are in talks with Manchester City over the signing of Emmanuel Adebayor.
