Bentley joins Blackburn on loan

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder David Bentley has signed for Blackburn Rovers on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The Championship club have confirmed on their official website that the 28-year-old, who previously signed for the Lancashire club in 2006 following a loan stint, will compete at Ewood Park until the summer.

Reports had claimed during the January transfer window that a possible switch to Blackburn was on the cards for the ex-England international.

Bentley, who moved to Spurs in 2008, spent the first half of this year's campaign on loan to Russian side FC Rostov.
