Aaron Lennon, Emmanuel Adebayor 'available after international break'

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas reveals that Aaron Lennon and Emmanuel Adeabyor will be in contention for first-team selection after the international break.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that Aaron Lennon and Emmanuel Adebayor will be back in selection contention following next week's international break.

Lennon has not featured for Spurs since their opening-day victory over Crystal Palace because of a foot injury, but both he and Adebayor resumed training with the first team this week.

The Togolese striker had previously been made to practise with the reserves, and while he is now seemingly in Villas-Boas's thoughts again, he will not be ready to take any part in the London derby with West Ham United on Sunday.

"Ade has just come back to training with the first team," Villas-Boas told reporters. "We travelled on Tuesday so we haven't trained with him.

"He definitely won't be involved against West Ham, so hopefully within this next international break we can build him up to start competing again for his place in the team.

"Aaron was back training with the team on Monday. He will be regaining his fitness with the team and we look to have him back in contention for a first-team place after the international break."

Villas-Boas also suggested that French midfielder Etienne Capoue, a £9.3m signing from Toulouse this summer, should be available to return within 10 days following his ankle injury.
