Tottenham Hotspur's Andre Villas-Boas pleased with "great win"

Andrea Villas-Boas says that he is delighted with the way his Tottenham Hotspur players earned their victory at Sunderland.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andrea Villas-Boas has hailed his side's performance against Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.

Spurs came from a goal down to get the better of the Black Cats 2-1 at the Stadium of Light.

"It was a great win, we were outstanding," he told Sky Sports News. "It could have been one of those situations where we were left to rue our missed chances but it wasn't.

"We were unlucky to go one goal behind, the win is entirely deserved and it puts us back in a good position in the league.

"We had to work hard to achieve the win but it is a great week for Tottenham and a great fightback from the [Manchester] City defeat. We have had two away games and two wins."

Tottenham are currently sixth in the league table with 27 points from 15 matches.
