Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino hopeful over Ryan Mason fitness

Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino remains hopeful that midfielder Ryan Mason will be fit to face Leicester City on Boxing Day.

Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Ryan Mason has a chance of being fit to face Leicester City on Boxing Day.

The midfielder is currently struggling with an ankle problem that he picked up during Saturday's 2-1 win over Burnley.

Despite doubts over the 23-year-old's availability, Pochettino is hopeful that Mason will be ready to feature at the King Power Stadium.

"We have more training ahead before making a decision but he's getting better," the Argentine told the club's official website. "We hope he's ready for Leicester."

Spurs are currently in seventh place in the Premier League table, four points adrift of fourth-placed West Ham United.
