Andre Villas-Boas: "We deserved it"

Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas believes that his side deserved to advance to the last 16 of the Europa League after beating Lyon.

A last Moussa Dembele strike sent Spurs through 3-2 on aggregate and they will now come up against Italian giants Inter Milan in the next round of the competition.

Villas-Boas told the club's official website: "We deserved it over two legs. The squad did extremely well in the second half, we got our reward in the last minute.

"[It is a] big tie next. We have set an example and we have rewarded the fans with Inter. It will be a magnificent night. We believe."

The first leg against Inter will take place on March 7.
