Neil Redfearn: 'Rotherham United can make it into the Premier League'

Rotherham United manager Neil Redfearn says that his new club has the potential to make it into the Premier League.

New Rotherham United manager Neil Redfearn has insisted that the club has the potential to play in the Premier League.

The 50-year-old coach joined Rotherham last Friday in place of Steve Evans who departed earlier in the year.

Following on from his appointment, the club's new boss has since put forward that he is aiming to move the Millers up to the next level.

"This is a club that's capable of going on to the next level - that's what excites me, and it's a real challenge," said Redfearn, according to Sky Sports News.

"We've got some talented boys, we want to open their minds, try and develop them and make them stronger.

"It's a tough division to get out of, and I think sometimes it takes a different approach. The club's had lots of recent success - Steve Evans has been a big part of it and has to take a lot of credit. I'm here to pick up the baton."

United currently hold 21st place in the Championship table after 10 games of the new campaign.
