Zinedine Zidane: 'Cristiano Ronaldo has foot injury'

Real Madrid boss Cristiano Ronaldo suffered a foot injury during Saturday's La Liga clash with Deportivo La Coruna, confirms Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo took a "heavy blow to the foot" during Saturday's La Liga clash away to Deportivo La Coruna.

Ronaldo scored both goals as Los Blancos recorded a 2-0 victory in La Coruna, but Barcelona's 3-0 win at Granada saw the Catalan outfit claim the title, finishing one point ahead of their Clasico rivals.

Ronaldo was forced off at the interval, but it was not a recurrence of a previous thigh problem, rather a fresh blow that led to the Portuguese leaving the field at the end of the first period.

"Ronaldo has a heavy blow to the foot," Zidane told AS.

Real Madrid will look to win an 11th European Cup when they face capital rivals Atletico Madrid in the final of the Champions League on May 28 in Milan.
