Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including Paris Saint-Germain vs. Marseille

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Sunday's Ligue 1 matches, including Paris Saint-Germain vs. Marseille.

Lille vs. Metz (Sunday, 12.00pm)

Lille will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2020-21 Ligue 1 campaign when they welcome Metz to the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Sunday afternoon.

Les Dogues finished fourth on a points-per-game basis last time out and have started this season brightly, while opponents Metz fell to defeat in their only game so far.

We say: Lille 0-0 Metz

Metz ended last season in good form on their travels and they have stopped Lille from scoring in three of their last four league encounters at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. The hosts will head into this match as favourites to make it back-to-back wins, but we are backing Metz to put their first point on the board.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Dijon vs. Brest (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Two sides without a point on the board in the 2020-21 Ligue 1 campaign will face off at the Stade Gaston-Gerard on Sunday as Dijon play host to fellow strugglers Brest.

Dijon have lost to Angers and Lyon thus far, while Brest are currently bottom of the table following defeats to Nimes and Marseille early on in the season.

We say: Dijon 2-2 Brest

Both clubs should feel capable of walking away from this encounter with all three points and will be equally desperate to avoid recording a third loss on the bounce early on in the campaign. However, given the competitive nature of this clash, we expect the two sides to cancel each other out and are backing a high-scoring draw this Sunday.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Angers vs. Reims (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Angers and Reims will both be aiming to bounce back from respective defeats when the two Ligue 1 sides lock horns at Stade Raymond Kopa on Sunday.

Angers suffered a 2-0 defeat to Bordeaux in their most recent outing, while Lille inflicted a 1-0 defeat on Reims last time out.

We say: Angers 0-0 Reims

Angers boast an incredible home record in the French top flight and there is no reason for Moulin's men to be disheartened following their loss to Bordeaux. On the other hand, Reims will be looking to gather momentum ahead of their Europa League ventures and have proven difficult for Angers to overcome in recent times, so we expect the two clubs to walk away with a point apiece in this one.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Lorient vs. Lens (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Two sides neck-and-neck in the Ligue 1 table after two matches will lock horns in the third round of fixtures as Lorient play host to Lens at the Stade du Moustoir this Sunday.

Lorient suffered a 2-0 defeat at Saint-Etienne last time out, while Lens recorded a historic victory over champions Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday.

We say: Lorient 1-0 Lens

Even though Lens will be encouraged by their historic victory over PSG heading into the weekend, their recent record against Lorient is far from spectacular. The visitors have had very little time to recover from their midweek triumph and Lorient's attackers are capable of causing Haise's backline plenty of problems, so we are backing the home side to scrape a narrow victory in gameweek three.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Nimes vs. Rennes (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Nimes will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Nantes when they welcome Rennes to the Stade des Costieres for Sunday's Ligue 1 encounter.

In contrast, Rennes head into the clash following a 2-1 victory over Montpellier in the most recent round of fixtures.

We say: Nimes 1-3 Rennes

Despite the loss of Terrier and the speculation surrounding Mendy's future, Rennes have picked up where they left off in the top flight and are coming up against a Nimes side who have recorded just one victory over Stephan's men in their history, so we are going for a comfortable away victory in this one.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Monaco vs. Nantes (Sunday, 4.00pm)

Nantes manager Christian Gourcuff pictured in December 2019© Reuters

Monaco and Nantes will both be aiming to secure their second Ligue 1 victory on the bounce when the two sides lock horns on Sunday afternoon at the Stade Louis II.

Monaco enjoyed a 1-0 victory over Metz in the most recent round of fixtures, while Nantes overcame Nimes 2-1 last time out.

We say: Monaco 2-1 Nantes

Monaco's front three must begin firing on all cylinders soon if Kovac's side are to keep their promising run of form going, but Nantes have lost some key players to injury and suspension ahead of the weekend showdown, so we are backing the hosts to come out on top in what should be an entertaining spectacle in gameweek three.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

PSG vs. Marseille (Sunday, 8.00pm)

The pick of the fixtures in gameweek three of the 2020-21 Ligue 1 campaign takes place on Sunday evening as champions Paris Saint-Germain play host to Marseille in Le Classique.

PSG suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Lens in their first game of the season, whereas Marseille marked their return to action with a 3-2 win over Brest.

We say: Paris Saint-Germain 0-2 Marseille

This season's first Classique is certainly set to be one of the more unconventional showdowns in the two clubs' illustrious histories. PSG are still without a number of starters and have had little time to recover from their dismal defeat to Lens, and while the champions boast a number of promising youngsters in their ranks, a full-strength Marseille side will simply have too much for them and we are backing the visitors to triumph in convincing fashion on Sunday.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
