Gary Gardner has returned to Nottingham Forest on a half-season loan from Aston Villa.
Gardner impressed during a similar stint with the Championship club last season, scoring four goals in 18 appearances.
He then signed a new three-year contract with Villa in the summer, but he has not featured once for the Premier League strugglers this term.
Gardner suggested that he was glad to leave Villa, writing on Twitter: "Once A Red..... So happy to be back at @Official_NFFC!!! Get me out there! YOUREDSSSSS!!!!!!😀⚽ï¸ðŸ‘ŠðŸ”´ðŸ”´ðŸ”´ðŸ”´ðŸ”´ðŸ”´"
His arrival is the second at Forest today after the signing of Slovenian full-back Bojan Jokic from Villarreal.
