Jamie Paterson wants 'big Nottingham Forest statement' against Leicester City

In-form forward Jamie Paterson wants Nottingham Forest to make a big statement by doing the double against Championship leaders Leicester City this evening.

In-form forward Jamie Paterson has said that Nottingham Forest can make a "big statement" with victory over Leicester City this evening.

Forest host runaway league leaders Leicester and can close the gap to the top two to just three points with victory.

Paterson, who has been in fantastic form for Forest since the turn of the year, scoring eight goals in 10 games, told the club website: "If we can do the double over Leicester and get a result at [second-placed Burnley on Saturday] it will put a big statement out there.

"The atmosphere will be brilliant tonight but once you're out on the pitch you don't think it's a big game."

Forest's 2-0 victory at the King Power Stadium back in November remains the only league defeat suffered by the Foxes at home this season.
