Newcastle United have confirmed that Alan Pardew will remain the manager of the club next season.
Pardew's future at St James' Park had been in doubt following the team's disappointing end to their Premier League campaign.
Seven defeats from their final eight games saw the Magpies slip to a 10th-place finish in the table.
Despite sustained calls from supporters for Pardew to be sacked, the 52-year-old will be staying in charge in the North-East.
"Board states Alan Pardew will be Newcastle United manager next year," according to the published minutes from a Fan Forum released by the club.
Pardew joined Newcastle in 2010 following a brief spell with Southampton.
