Alan Pardew reveals that defender Fabricio Coloccini will be out of action for two weeks with a back injury.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has revealed that captain Fabricio Coloccini is likely to be on the sidelines for two weeks.

The Argentinian was absent for the Magpies' 1-0 defeat to Swansea City on Saturday due to a back problem.

"I don't think it's that worrying, but it is a back injury, so we have to be careful," Pardew told the Chronicle. "I think a couple of weeks."

The centre-back will also miss this Thursday's Europa League last-16 match against Anzhi Makhachkala.
