Alan Pardew praises Tim Krul

Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul receives praise from manager Alan Pardew following his performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has reserved special praise for the club's goalkeeper Tim Krul.

The Dutchman made a string of saves as the Magpies claimed a 2-1 victory away against Wolverhampton Wanderers this afternoon and Pardew has hailed the 23-year-old's performance.

"Our goalkeeper was our best player today," Pardew told Sky Sports News.

"He's been brilliant for us all season. We're trying to mould him into a top goalkeeper and he's certainly getting there."

Today's victory at Molineux has seen Newcastle move up to third in the Premier League table.
