United 'eye £40m Onana as De Gea replacement'

Manchester United could reportedly launch a £40m offer for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana if David de Gea leaves Old Trafford in this summer's transfer window.

De Gea will see his current deal with United expire next summer, and the Spain international could depart Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side for Paris Saint-Germain ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

According to The Sun, should the 28-year-old move on then the Red Devils will consider a swoop for Onana, who is believed to be valued in the region of £40m by his Dutch club.

The Cameroon international has been Ajax's first-choice goalkeeper in each of the last three campaigns, making close to 150 appearances in all competitions.

The 23-year-old, who has reportedly already been the subject of a failed bid from United this summer, turned out for Barcelona between 2010 and 2015.
