Man United ready to hand £20m to De Gea?

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to hand David de Gea a huge financial payoff in order to encourage the goalkeeper to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

De Gea has just 12 months remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, leaving both the Spaniard and United with decisions to make regarding his future.

There have been suggestions that PSG are ready to launch an approach for De Gea as they look to secure a replacement for the outgoing Gianluigi Buffon.

According to The Sun, that has resulted in United being encouraged over the fee which they could recoup from the sale of De Gea, who has spent the last eight seasons in the North-West of England.

The report claims that United are ready to hand the 28-year-old what would effectively be a £20m payoff, a loss they are prepared to make if PSG bid in excess of £60m.

De Gea is allegedly ready to remain at United for the last year of his contract if not provided with an incentive to move on this summer.
