Report: Arsenal scout Napoli's Jorginho

Arsenal reportedly join the race along with Manchester United and Liverpool for Napoli's Brazilian midfielder Jorginho.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reportedly sent a scout to watch Napoli midfielder Jorginho in action yesterday afternoon.

The 23-year-old, who played the entire 90 minutes of the 0-0 draw with Genoa, has recently been linked with Manchester United and Liverpool.

However, according to The Sun, those two rivals could now face competition for the Brazilian from the Gunners.

The report adds that Wenger has identified Jorginho as potential cover in the midfield area of the pitch.

At present, eight Arsenal players are sidelined through injuries, including midfielders Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere.
