Manchester United are reportedly willing to splash £100k a week to land Sporting Lisbon ace Bruno Fernandes this summer - whether Paul Pogba leaves or not.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to pay Sporting Lisbon ace Bruno Fernandes more than £100,000 a week.

With Ander Herrera having departed Old Trafford and the possibility of Paul Pogba also leaving, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to sign another midfielder.

The Red Devils are understood to be lining up a £50m bid for Fernandes, which is still £20m short of Sporting's £70m valuation.

However, The Mirror reports that United have drawn up a contract worth £5.5m per year for the Portuguese ace in an effort to entice him to the club.

Fernandes scored 32 goals in 53 appearances for Sporting in the last campaign, and lined up for Portugal this summer as they won the Nations League.

United are keen to sign the midfielder irrespective of whether Pogba - a target for Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain - departs Old Trafford.
