Manchester United are reportedly demanding between £40m and £50m for the sale of out-of-favour attacker Jadon Sancho during the summer transfer window.

Manchester United have reportedly placed a price-tag of up to £50m on out-of-favour attacker Jadon Sancho ahead of the summer window.

The 23-year-old is currently enjoying his second spell at German side Borussia Dortmund after making the loan switch from the Red Devils in January.

Sancho has settled back into life at the Bundesliga challengers, netting two goals and providing two assists in 10 appearances across all competitions.

The winger helped Edin Terzic's side reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday night, with the former England international scoring the opening goal in a 2-0 second-leg victory over PSV Eindhoven.

According to Football Insider, Manchester United have revised their asking price for Sancho ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

The report claims that the Red Devils have changed their price-tag due to the form of the former Manchester City youngster back at Signal Iduna Park in Germany.

It is understood that United are willing to accept offers in the region of £40m and £50m for Sancho as they look to part ways with the attacker at the end of the season.

After paying a reported £73m to bring the 23-time international to the red side of Manchester in the summer of 2021, the Red Devils are set to lose a significant amount on the player.

Dortmund are believed to be keen on securing the services of Sancho past the conclusion of this campaign, although the player's current loan club do not have priority in the hunt for his permanent services.

Terzic's men do not have an option or obligation to buy the 23-year-old in the loan agreement with Man United, meaning that they will have to fight off other potential suitors for the winger's signature.

It is believed that the Red Devils need to offload Sancho in order to fund incomings ahead of the 2024-25 campaign following a summer of heavy spending in 2023.

The Englishman featured in just three Premier League matches for United this season before enduring a public falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.

Following the 3-2 win at home to Nottingham Forest on August 26, Sancho was not selected for a Man United squad again before being loaned out to Dortmund in January.

Looking to close the two-point gap to fourth-placed RB Leipzig, Sancho and Dortmund will host Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Sunday afternoon.
