Bayern Munich plan £8m Dimitar Berbatov bid

Bayern Munich are reportedly readying an £8m bid for Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov.

Speculation about a move has been rife since Berbatov was apparently spotted boarding a plane to Frankfurt.

The German club have already contacted United and the Bulgarian's representatives over a move, according to The Sun.

The 30-year-old is in the last year of his contract with the Red Devils, but Alex Ferguson has the option to extend for a further season.

Berbatov has started just nine games this season, after he was joint winner of the Golden Boot with 20 goals last term.
