Arsenal will reportedly have to part with £63m in order to sign Bayer Leverkusen attacker Moussa Diaby during this summer's transfer window.

The 22-year-old has been in strong form for Leverkusen during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 16 goals and registering 13 assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.

In the Bundesliga, Diaby has scored 12 goals and provided 11 assists in 30 outings, while he netted four times and registered two assists in eight Europa League appearances.

The France international still has more than three years left to run on his current deal, but there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future in recent months.

Arsenal are one of the clubs to be heavily linked with the attacker, who arrived at Leverkusen from Paris Saint-Germain in July 2019.

According to Bild, the Bundesliga outfit have played a £63m valuation on the Frenchman ahead of the summer market, with his contract situation placing the club in a strong position.

The report claims that Leverkusen are determined to keep hold of Diaby heading into next season but would not be in a position to reject a large offer in the upcoming market.

Newcastle United and Manchester United are also believed to be keeping a close eye on the attacker's situation in Germany, with the two clubs both looking to sign new forwards this summer.

Diaby came through the youth system at PSG, representing the French giants on 34 occasions in all competitions before making the move to Leverkusen on a five-year contract.

Arsenal allowed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to leave the club in January, while Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah will both be out of contract at the Emirates Stadium this summer.

As a result, it is expected to be a busy summer window for the Gunners, although much of their business is likely to depend on whether they qualify for next season's Champions League.

Mikel Arteta's side are currently fourth in the table, two points clear of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, with four games of the campaign left to play.

The North London club will be bidding to make it four league wins in a row when they welcome Leeds United to Emirates Stadium on Sunday, before facing Tottenham, Newcastle and Everton in their final three league games of the season.
