Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has introduced Gabriel Martinelli and Mohamed Elneny into the starting lineup for Thursday's Premier League encounter with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Martinelli came off the bench to replace the injured Bukayo Saka against Newcastle United and has been rewarded for his delightful volley with a spot in the first XI in place of the England international.
Elneny has only played 59 minutes of football this term in the top flight and is widely expected to leave in 2022, but Arteta has placed his faith in him after his strong showing in last season's win at Old Trafford.
Nuno Tavares also keeps Kieran Tierney out of the side, with Gabriel, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale all starting in defence as expected.
Albert Sambi Lokonga drops down to the bench in order to accommodate Elneny's inclusion alongside Thomas Partey, while Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe join Martinelli in attack.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will once again spearhead the charge as he aims to become the first Arsenal player ever to score in three consecutive away games against Man United.
Arsenal starting lineup: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tavares; Elneny, Partey; Martinelli, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Aubameyang
