Premier League GW3 predictions: Arsenal to secure gigantic win over Liverpool, Man United to ease pressure on head coach Ruben Amorim

Arsenal to win showdown with Liverpool at Anfield: Premier League GW3 predictions

Anfield will play host to a fascinating Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon, as the reigning champions Liverpool welcome title rivals Arsenal to Merseyside.

Gameweek three will begin with a West London derby, as Chelsea welcome Fulham in the early start, while Manchester United will be aiming to secure their first Premier League win of the season when they host Burnley later in the afternoon.

There are four games taking place on Sunday, including Manchester City's trip to Brighton & Hove Albion, while West Ham United will head to Nottingham Forest for a huge game.

The action will conclude at Villa Park on Sunday evening, as Aston Villa welcome Crystal Palace in the final Premier League match before the September international break.

In the third set of fixtures, Sports Mole are facing off against Katherine Parlour from indie rock band Picture Parlour.

Read on to discover Katherine's and our predictions for gameweek three of the 2025-26 campaign, in addition to a look at how Patrick King from electronic band Real Lies performed in the second set of fixtures this season.

Chelsea vs. Fulham

Saturday, 12.30pm

Katherine: Chelsea 3-0 Fulham

Sports Mole: Chelsea 2-0 Fulham

Fulham may have left Stamford Bridge shell-shocked last season, but Chelsea have still only lost 8.3% of their Premier League clashes with the Cottagers, the joint-lowest percentage between two sides who have met at least 20 times in the competition.

Maresca's men ought to find it harder to break down their visitors than they did at West Ham, but the title outsiders should still have no trouble marching to a professional victory.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Everton

Saturday, 3pm

Katherine: Wolves 1-2 Everton

Sports Mole: Wolves 1-1 Everton

Everton have made a habit of crashing back down to earth spectacularly after a morale-boosting win, but as long as they do not revert to the type of performance seen at Leeds, they have a good chance of taking something here.

Wolves would potentially be happy with a point to get off the mark, as they still need to strengthen in the market, and also keep hold of Strand Larsen, so a confident Everton will not be ideal visitors.

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Bournemouth

Saturday, 3pm

Katherine: Tottenham 2-0 Bournemouth

Sports Mole: Tottenham 3-1 Bournemouth

With Semenyo in the side, Bournemouth always pose a threat going forwards, and the Cherries are seldom kept at bay in Premier League away matches.

However, a consolation strike is surely all that Iraola's men can hope for, as a well-rested and well-motivated Spurs side should claim top spot in the table - for approximately 24 hours at least.

Manchester United vs. Burnley

Saturday, 3pm

Katherine: Man United 2-1 Burnley

Sports Mole: Man United 1-1 Burnley

Considering the dire situation Man United find themselves in, it is difficult to confidently back the Red Devils to prevail against any opponent they come up against.

Burnley demonstrated their defensive strengths last season before keeping a clean sheet against Sunderland last time out, and the Clarets will back themselves to frustrate the hosts this weekend. Man United will be regarded as the favourites, but Burnley may do enough to hold on for a point.

Sunderland vs. Brentford

Saturday, 3pm

Katherine: Sunderland 1-1 Brentford

Sports Mole: Sunderland 1-2 Brentford

In the 940th different fixture to be played in the Premier League, Brentford have our vote to prolong their successful streak and simultaneously Sunderland's dampening run of defeats.

The Bees appear to be rediscovering their attacking touch under Andrews, while the absence of Ballard means that Sunderland have lost one of their chief threats in both penalty areas.

Leeds United vs. Newcastle United

Saturday, 5.30pm

Katherine: Leeds 1-1 Newcastle

Sports Mole: Leeds 1-2 Newcastle

Leeds will always back themselves in front of the Elland Road faithful and will hope to take advantage of Newcastle potentially missing a number of key players. However, the Magpies are still capable of fielding a strong lineup that should have enough quality to get the better of the Whites.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Manchester City

Sunday, 2pm

Katherine: Brighton 0-2 Man City

Sports Mole: Brighton 1-3 Man City

A manic Merseyside atmosphere did not help Brighton at Everton's new base last weekend, and a return to home comforts could also signal a return to scoring ways for Hurzeler's outfit.

City's attack will be back with a vengeance, though, and we have complete faith in Guardiola's men to banish the memories of last weekend with a familiar away-day success.

Nottingham Forest vs. West Ham United

Sunday, 4pm

Katherine: Nottingham Forest 2-0 West Ham

Sports Mole: Nottingham Forest 3-1  West Ham

West Ham's miserable streak of scoring failures at the City Ground may come to an end on Sunday, but the odd consolation is surely the best that Potter's pitiful side can hope for.

A full-strength Forest attack can carve open a porous Irons defence more than once to march to an emphatic victory, one that will temporarily take them above both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Liverpool vs. Arsenal

Sunday, 4.30pm

Katherine: Liverpool 1-2 Arsenal

Sports Mole: Liverpool 1-2 Arsenal

In spite of the losses of Havertz and Saka and the potential absence of Odegaard, Arsenal transfer chiefs have been busy adding fleet-footed threats who can ask serious questions of a suspect Liverpool backline, not to mention their astounding record from set-pieces and impeccable defensive performance.

Arteta's rearguard may not come away completely unscathed, but a full-strength Arsenal shield can limit their hosts to a solitary strike and capitalise on their hosts' vulnerabilities to earn a potentially season-defining three points.

Aston Villa vs. Crystal Palace

Sunday, 7pm

Katherine: Aston Villa 1-1 Crystal Palace

Sports Mole: Aston Villa 1-0 Crystal Palace

Not only did Palace have to head abroad in midweek, Glasner had little room to rotate, and the nine players who completed 90 minutes against Fredrikstad will most likely have to go again here.

As a result, a hitherto blunt Villa should find their way through and shut up shop against their fatigued foes to earn Premier League win number one for the season.

Katherine Parlour Q&A

How did you come to support Everton and what are your favourite memories from your time as a fan?

Katherine: I was born into it. All of my family are huge blues and the love of the club goes back many generations. My fondest memory has to be seeing the Toffee Lady at Goodison as a kid and pocketing a few sweets. Then becoming an adult and getting to have a pint and a pie with my dad and uncle at the match. Pure bliss.

Who have been your favourite five players for Everton?

Katherine: I never got to see Dixie Dean play but seeing his statue outside Goodison every game made him feel like this mythological creature so he’d have to be one. Wayne Rooney obviously.

Leighton Baines is an icon at the club and I’ve heard he loves music too so extra points. [Mikel] Arteta was my hero as a kid. Final one would probably be Tim Cahill. When I’d go see matches as a kid he’d be the most exciting player to watch.

What's going on with the band at the moment?

Katherine: We’re getting ready to head back out on our headline UK tour in September and we can’t wait. Grab tickets while you can. Also we have a huge announcement on its way in the next couple of weeks.
